“Jugendstil” (Art Nouveau) exhibition at the Landesmuseum Wiesbaden
Saturday, 7 November @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pmFree
The exhibition is wonderfully presented and historically situated; it offers not only pictures, but lamps, chandeliers, furniture, silver etc., including amazing films of the World Exhibition in 1900 and especially a highly recommendable BBC film: “Sex and Sensibility: The Allure of Art Nouveau: Paris”.
Probably the cheapest and easiest option is taking the S-Bahn from Frankfurt Hbf to Wiesbaden, e.g. departing at 9:42, arriving in Wiesbaden at 10:24,
then arriving at the museum around 10:45 after a walk of approx. 300 m.
A wise option in this case (to be able to review, see film/s or walk into the other exhibits) is using the Cafeteria that has cakes and meals at moderate prices. It is possible to make a seat reservation (which is necessary for a group, because due to Corona seating is limited).
Everyone can walk around at his/her own pace and meet again at a certain time for refreshments.
Entry is FREE on that day for all exhibitions!
