Walk in Walldorf
Sunday, 8 September @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Free
A walk in Walldorf: a colourful autumnal walk around Walldorf lakes, followed by lunch in an 18th-century restaurant.
This is an easy walk. It’s about 5 kilometres of flat paths circling around the lakes between Walldorf and Mörfelden. This area has been developed over the last 20 years and is especially beautiful in autumn as the trees are all deciduous and offer a blaze of autumn colours.
Walldorf has a history having been settled originally by a Protestant group who migrated from France. There are placards in the woods detailing how these Huguenot families found religious freedom in the area.
Lunch will be in Mörfelden in the Altstadt.
Outside McDonald’s at 10:05 to catch the S7 at 10:20.
The S7 leaves from the main station, not the underground usually from platform 2.
10:45 at Walldorf S Bahn station.
I would appreciate it if you let me know beforehand if you will join us for lunch. I will need to book a table in advance so surprise arrivals cannot be guaranteed a seat.
