Spring hike to Seligenstadt

As Winter begins to fade, let’s kick off the season for outdoor activities!
The first one will be a hike in unfamiliar territory for Pickwicks: Along the River Main (at least part of the way) from the quaint town of Hanau-Steinheim to beautiful Seligenstadt, with the typical long Pickwicks lunch break at Hainstadt in the middle, after 5.5 km. We will have a look at the old town of Steinheim at the start and of course enjoy some of the many attractions of Seligenstadt with its basilica (and ice-cream parlours) at the end; for more information click here.
The terrain is flat, and the total distance will be 14.5 km.

Public transport:
- 09:20 a.m.
- Frankfurt-Hauptwache, S-Bahn platform,
to catch the 09.33 S9 to Hanau Hbf.
Car drivers:
- 10:00 a.m.
- Hanau-Steinheim station
Park & Ride Boschstraße
(free on Sundays)
Trains run back to Steinheim (and on to Frankfurt) every 30 minutes.
