This past Sunday, March 14th Pickwicks members, lead by Rheinhold, enjoyed a hike over 5 hills from the Darmstadt Ostbahnhof to Darmstadt-Eberstadt. The total distance to walk was 13.5km. They took the hike despite the threat from Covid-19 and enjoyed the beautiful, sunny day. The group stopped for lunch at Restaurant Bölle, and celebrated one member’s (who shall remain nameless) birthday. At the end of the event, we had to take the tram and bus to get back to the Ostbahnhof. To maintain social distancing, all participants got a ride in a private car back to Frankfurt. One last social event before the serious restrictions began in Frankfurt and Germany.
